Widowmaker Hill Climbing Is Dangerous, but Fun [Video]
text size: A- A+
This movie shows some of the highlights of the 2012 Widowmaker Hill Climb session. Located in Croydon, Utah, the Widowmaker is one of the toughest hills in the whole business. Looming from more than 1000 feet (305 m) above the starting point, its summit has been reached rather rarely.
In fact only 19 riders have gone all the way up during the 10 years history of this extreme competition. That's less than 2 riders a year, and considering more than 4,500 attempts will give you a clearer picture of what “hard” and “extreme” really mean.
If you feel like giving a shot at glory and entering the “1000 Ft Club”, prep your bike and try your might, registering for the next year event.
