Wicked Fox Body Mustang Clobbers Porsche 911 in Street Drag Race

We bet most of you aren’t too keen on the Fox Body Mustang and we don’t blame you for that. Its design wasn’t very attractive and it was also renowned as a rust prone vehicle. However, some of its characteristics made it an ideal car for drag racing and that’s why a lot of third-generation Mustangs are still burning rubber on drag strips.

Some of them, like the AV Boys-prepped version you’re about to see below, can even pose a threat to famed sportscars such as the Porsche 911. And not just any 911, but Izzy Performance’s 2012 VRT Porsche. This street race had a $5,000 wager for two runs in which the German vehicle got a one car length advantage. As you’ll find out in a few seconds, the leverage wasn’t enough and the Porsche got some serious clobbering.

From what we know, this is not the first time the 1989 AV Boys Mustang destroys it competition, with a Nissan GT-R and a 900 HP Corvette Z06 among its past victims. AV Boys claim the Mustang is all motor with 495 HP to the rear wheels. Pretty amazing, huh?
