Wheelsandmore Supercharges Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster
Nevertheless, there are multiple tuners who accept the challenge and the latest such example comes from Wheelsandmore, which has released a new evolution of its package for the car.
The starting point was the German tuner’s Stage II kit, which pushes the 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 to 635 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. This is comprised of a stainless steel exhaust system with sport catalysts and a flap-controlled exhaust, which keeps the stock tailpipes, sport air filters and an ECU remap.
For Wheelsandmore’s new Stage III, the company has supercharged the powerplant, with the result being an output of 704 hp and 855 Nm (631 lb-ft). The SLS AMG Roadster now deals with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 3.6 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
The Wheelsandmore Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster Stage III also features a redefined road connection. This includes 6Sporz ² wheels in a size of 21x9.0-inch up front and 21x11.5-inch for the rear axle. The rims use tires that come in a size of 245/30/21 and 305/25/21, respectively.
As for the suspension, the Merc features an aluminum coilover suspension, which is variable in terms of both compression and rebound. Wheelsandmore also offers a LCS coilover suspension with a lift system taht can raise both axles by 140 mm at the touch of the button.
