The famous car-customizing crew at West Coast Customs were recently asked to take a car from the world of video games to our streets. Not just any car though, a Mad Max ride. During the next episode, they are going to make one rusty, ratty creation come to life, and it doesn't appear to be the Falcon coupe any more.
Since Falcons aren't that easy to find anyway, the donor cars WCC picks are a little bit less… inspiring. An old Ford truck to donate the engine and the jacked up chassis and what appears to be a Pinto to donate the bodywork. The result looks pretty amazing, though we'll reserve our judgement until we see the real thing.

Coming out this month, the Mad Max game might be one of the biggest titles, since it allows folks to play their childhood movie hero. Developed by Avalanche Studios, it's set in your typical post-apocalyptic desert environment and focuses on vehicle combat.

The game starts out as you have your Interceptor taken from you and you need to build another ultimate war machine, which is now called the Magnum Opus. Keeping you company is a guy nicknamed Chum Bucket, who rides on top of the car all the time, upgrades it and packs a harpoon gun which is useful in battle.

The developers have a pretty interesting vision of car combat in the desert, where you can either go for a strong tank-like vehicle or a light one with maneuverability. Strangely, Mad Max could be the next big car game.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
