McLaren sure knows how to promote its supercars by finding artsy alternatives to traditional approaches, like filming the car on the racetrack and just focusing on the engine's sound. So, whoever directed this video is a pure genius.
Pardon our enthusiasm, but seeing the car live in Geneva had us very excited about the the way McLaren decided to approach the 675LT project, even though that Chicane Grey paint showcasing the McLaren Club Sport pack has a price tag of £5,000 ($7,535).

And now McLaren shows up with this video, placing the supercar in the middle of an artistic decor, properly accompanied by a delightful soundtrack. We could easily invoke the already boring ’50 shades of Grey’ universal punchline that seems to fit everything these days, but we won’t, for art’s sake.

What we’re also not going to do is start describing what happens in the video, because that would be simply useless. However, it should be mentioned that McLaren took some time to tweak its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine to deliver 675 HP, while the Long Tail (that’s what LT stands for) was touched by engineers’ magic wand and became lighter, wider and lower.

The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes only 2.9 seconds while the car can keep going until the top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) is reached. This, along with the front splitter and the carbon fiber rear diffuser should translate into an improved behavior on the race track, but we’re sure McLaren will focus on that in a future promotional clip.

For now, we’ll just leave you with this amazing piece of art that will definitely make your day, or at least what's left of it. Sit back and enjoy.
