Vaughn Gittin Jr. might be on the verge of releasing his 2015 Mustang RTR, but he headed to Norway to prove that there’s plenty of life left in his current tire-shredding ‘Stang. Teaming up with MagnaFlow exhaust, the latest drift video from Gittin Jr. definitely lives up to the billing as “two minutes of pure drifting insanity.”
The video was shot last month at the Gatebil racing event at the Rudskogen Motorpark, which is a two-mile, 14-turn track in Rakkestad, Norway. Except for the long front stretch, Gittin Jr. spends almost the entire video perfrectly drifting the rest of the course. There are no boring parts of this full lap of drifting, but he definitely saves the best for last in the track’s final long, sweeping right-hander.

Helping to make the actual driving look even better, there is some awesome onboard footage including helmet cam action, but it’s the chase car footage that really makes this video impressive. Not to take the spot light from Gittin Jr.’s driving or his Mustang RTR, but according to his Facebook page, he said the chase car had 1,000 hp and was driving on slicks. This fact makes some of the footage even more amazing as at times, the camera appears to be just inches away from the Mustang RTR as it slides through the corners with heavy smoke billowing from the rear tires.

The best part perhaps, is the fact that since the video was sponsored by MagnaFlow, there is no awful music to drown out the the natural sounds of drifting. Check out the full lap in the video below providing two minutes of screaming, smoking tires and loud, roaring exhaust. And be sure to crank your speakers up!
