We’re sure most you have already seen more than a couple of three-wide finishes, but the Freedom 100 race took the excitement of a tight checkered flag battle beyond that, with four vehicles storming side by side.
But wait, there’s even more drama! While three drivers were competing for first place in the last lap, Peter Dempsey, which was racing in fourth position, managed to squeeze in after the last turn to win the event by a margin of... 0.026 seconds! This means that Dempsey had less that 9 inches over second-placed Chaves. Moreover, the first and the fourth single-seaters crossed the finish line with only 0.4 seconds between them.
