Watch and Learn: Rider Splits Lanes Carelessly and Crashes Silly

When splitting lanes, there are some rules which must be obeyed, and being extra aware of what's going on around the bike is paramount. Failing to correctly asses the traffic situations and thus being unable to respond in a timely manner to the sudden changes is just the shortest way for a crash.
And by the time you read the previous paragraph, many of the riders out there who take lane splitting light would have already crashed, just like the Suzuki man in this video.

In this particular case speed was one of the key factors for rear-ending the Audi. While police recommends moderate speed when riding between the lanes, and not riding above 10 mph (16 km/h) faster than the surrounding traffic, it looks like these rules are just empty words.

Even more, as the bike was riding on the very separation lines known for being slippery, braking hard and remaining upright was also a pretty much improbable scenario. Ride safe!
