If you’re on the Nurburgring and need to complete a lap but find yourself carless and perhaps unwilling to drive, you can always turn to the Ring Taxi. Basically everybody who has heard about the Green Hell knows about the BMW M5 Ring Taxi, but things go deeper than that. If we move out of the official Nordschleife cab business, we find that a Porsche 911 GT3 can cater to your track day transportation needs.
We are now bringing you a clip that offers a POV ride in the 911 GT3 Ring Taxi. Remember, this is the current 991 generation, so one spicy addition to the whole experience is the four-wheel steering.
The rest of the Porsche treats are here too. For instance, the chronograph adorning the dashboard lets one know the Sport Chrono Package is here to make the entire experience sharper. Then there’s the pure soundtrack of the flat six at the back.
The guy in the passenger’s seat admits he doesn’t have too much track experience, so a GT3 is an excellent tuition provider. He must look pretty terrified, since the driver asks him is he’s OK around the 3-minute mark - he immediately reassures the man behind the wheel that he is enjoying the experience, so the hooning is resumed.
The PDK’s wild shifts mix with the driver’s explanations to form a really nice atmosphere for the Nordschleife lap.
