MR Car Design has recently targeted the VW Passat CC, with the tuner creating a very fast four-door coupe. To be more specific, a pre-facelift model was chosen and this was given a complete technical makeover.
The aftermarket specialist chose the highest spec possible, an all-wheel drive (4Motion) model powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 engine. The powerplant was gifted with a HGP Turbo kit, along with other goodies and now delivers 502 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.
Since the Passat CC received a power increase about as large as the output of a Golf GTI (202 hp and 350 Nm/ 258 lb-ft), the rest of the tech bits had to be upgraded in order to meet the new requirements. Thus, the car was fitted with a KW DDC coilover suspension, H&R stabilizer bars, 18-inch OZ Ultraleggera wheels, as well as brakes coming from Stoptech and EBC.
We’re very pleased with the car’s performance especially since it’s mixed with a near-stock look, but MR Car Design didn’t release the actual data, only saying “The result: A Volkswagen with so much power, almost a guarantee for the long-term use of the fast lane...”
