Volvo Winner Takes Home New S60 R-Design
“Winning this car means so much to us it’s quite overwhelming. It has provided me and my family with one of the safest vehicles on the road and after my accident, safety is something I am much more conscious of and we would never have had the means to fund such an amazing car,“ Carter said while collecting his new car from the dealership.
Carter has sustained a a serious road accident ten years ago, when, as a back seat passenger, the car in which he was travelling skidded on black ice and fog before hitting a roundabout. The accident left him unable to walk for a year. He will use the new car as he develops his business as an eco-product distributor.
The S60 incorporates Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake, designed for higher speeds, warning drivers if they're about to hit another vehicle, applying the brakes automatically if necessary.
