Volvo S60 Party Tour Starts in Berlin

Swedish carmaker Volvo announced today it will kick off the Subject60 tour in five European cities, to promote the new S60. The tour will start in Berlin on May 27, will then go to London, Paris, Milan and end up in Madrid.

What's interesting about Volvo's endeavor is the fact that this will not be your regular car promotion tour. The carmaker will host "naughty" parties in the aforementioned cities, sprinkled with live performances from Lykke Li. Blogging photographer Face Hunter will be documenting all the five events.

"With the Subject60 tour for the all-new S60 we want to show a new naughtier side of Volvo and celebrate that Volvo are on the go with sales figures up 26.5 per cent world wide compared to last year," Lukas Dohle, Head of Social Media & Live Communication at Volvo Car Corporation stated.

"We want to reach out to a new target audience, a creative young city crowd which the S60 is perfect for. We are going to meet them in their natural environments through their interests. We aspire on making them spread the word - that Volvo has changed!"

Now, perhaps these parties are a means to turn your attention away from the world famous crash-avoidance system fail in the beginning of the month. Meant to prevent the car from hitting objects in front by applied the breaks, the system failed beautifully and crashed the S60 right into the back of a parked truck.
