I Want to Drive!... Even if my financial situation is a bit far from tying up with that of my colleague Bach, you probably already know I'm not actually poor either. And that's just to be modest. Yet, I don't like helicopters and I only use planes if I really have to. I'm a fan (age ... Continue reading >

As sale discussions continue, Volvo is unveiling the 2011 C30 and C70 in North America, at the 39th annual South Florida International Motor Show. If real interest is shown in these cars, it might boost takeover discussions, as both parties (Ford and Geely) are anxious to close the deal before Christmas.

We're confident these improvements will continue to attract new buyers to the Volvo brand,” said Doug Speck, President and CEO of Volvo Cars of North America. “In a city like Miami, a convertible such as the Volvo C70 is almost a given, but the C30, with its completely new look, is the kind of car that causes jaws to drop and heads to turn.

The 2011 C30 model is showing a brand new front appearance with new fenders, hood and headlights. The resemblance with the S40 model is gone, so picky customers no longer have a reason to complain.

The 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show was an important event for Volvo because the Swedish car manufacturer unveiled the new 2011 Volvo C30 and C70. As you might already know, Volvo is owned by Ford. And Ford tried desperately sell due to the worldwide financial crisis

The only suitor that confirmed the interest in Volvo was Chinese car manufacturer Geely, who got entangled with Ford's IP rights, as the Chinese might use Volvo technology to develop a competitor for Ford vehicles.

Would it be for the best if Chinese manufacturer Geely could get a hold of Swedish pride Volvo? We can’t tell yet. But the new 2011 models are looking really good.
