Last week, a series of patent images gave us the five-door version of the VW Up! city car and now the carmaker has released the first official photos and details of the car. The vehicle is similar in size to the three-door version of the Up! and so are its engine range and list of features. This means that you can choose between two power versions of a 1.0-liter three-cylinder unit: 60 and 75 hp.
The car has just gained a set of extra doors, with the rear passengers being offered 79.5cm (31.1 inches) of legroom and 94.7cm (37.3 inches) of headroom. As for the luggage space, this sits at 252 liters (8.9 cubic-feet) and can be extended to 951 liters (33.6 cubic-feet).
The five-door Up! starts at EUR10,325, which can be translated into an EUR475 increase over the price of the three-door model. On the German market, VW is set to start taking orders in March, with deliveries scheduled to kick off in May. Elsewhere in Europe, the vehicle will be launched this summer.
