VW is introducing British customers to its new Touareg R-Line, with the new trim level bringing extra equipment worth £4,000 for a pricing increase of just £750.
The Touareg R-Line comes with dedicated body details, including the front and rear fascias, as well as the side skirts and rides on 20-inch Tarragona wheels with 275/45 R20 tires. The SUV comes with standard bi-xenon headlights that use LED daytime running lights. The sam technology is used for the taillights and number plate lights.
Inside the car, we find custom R-Line door entry sills, full-length panoramic electric sliding glass sunroof, keyless entry and start, as well as a power tailgate.
The Touareg R-Line is based on the Altitude equipment level, so it also comes with a leather finish a satellite navigation and audio system with eight-inch touchscreen, DAB, Bluetooth and MDI multi-device interface for iPods, tow-zone climate control, a Stop/Start system and battery regeneration.
The R-Line trim can be chosen for the 3.0-liter V6 diesel unit matched to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, for both the 204 and the 245 hp versions. The first retails for £44,025, while the latter will set you back £45,645.
