The Volkswagen Polo has been one of the best selling superminis in Europe ever since the current model was launched back in 2009. It's relatively well built and quite spacious, if not a bit bland, especially compared to newer model. Most people driving a Polo in Euro right now have a 1.2 liter engine under their bonnets so to them, this car is about to come as a total shock.
Built to celebrate the VW's comeback to WRC, the Polo R WRC Street is like a family supermini that has taken horse steroids. Volkswagen will give gladly stuff the 2-liter TSI from the old Golf 6 GTI into the body of its lesser brother, giving you access to 220 PS and 250 Nm of torque.

The funny thing is, the much larger engine means this R is more tunable than the Polo GTI, which only has a 1.4-liter.

The inevitable happened today, as B&B Automobiltechnik, a German company, revealed their Stage 3 kit, delivering 362 PS and 510 Nm from that engine. Thanks to this increase in power, the Polo R is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 second, 1.2s faster than its stock version. Top speed has also jumped from 151 mph (243 km/h) to 168 mph (270 km/h).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
