What’s better than a range-topping Volkswagen Polo R hatchback? You might be tempted to say the Polo WRC, but we were thinking about a Polo R sedan. You know, more power, more speed, more space!?
But there’s no Polo R sedan on offer from Volkswagen, while production hatchbacks have yet to hit the streets, so what gives? We’re obviously talking about a couple of renderings published by the one and only Theophilus Chin.
Why photoshop a Polo sedan into an R version? It’s a useless question really, because most renderings are about vehicles that aren’t available. But would such a car be successful if released? We really can’t tell if VW is considering one, but we wouldn’t be surprised if such an announcement were to be made in the near future.
The current automotive market is about finding new niches, so anything is possible, even a 220 HP-powered Polo R family sedan. For some reason, we have a feeling the regular Polo R hatch enthusiast would hate it!
