I bet that somewhere at Nissan there's an engineer working on the GT-R Nismo project who's tattooed the shape of the Nurburgring on himself to remember all the corners.
Since they announced Nismo was becoming a sort of go-fast brand in 2013, Nissan has already put three tuned cars into production. The first was the Juke, followed by the Z and the Japan-only (for now) Micra/March.
But all those are just toys compared to the GT-R Nismo, confirmed for a debut some time next year. It will be the fastest car Nissan has ever built for road-legal applications.
Rumors suggest the car will get from 0 to 100 km/h in exactly 2 seconds. While we do think that's rather ambitious, even if you use slick tires. Nismo cars have also been about looking good, with new paint finishes, nice wheels and bigger exhaust.
Still, this video shot at the Nurburgring does show us a very real performance car that handles the circuit almost as good as the VLN endurance racers.
The GT-R used to be the fastest car on the Ring and Nissan is likely to target the top lap times once again, not the outright acceleration numbers.
