Vauxhall Insignia VXR SuperSport Pricing Announced
The new price, which is here to boost sales, also makes the Insignia VXR the most powerful and fasters sub-GBP30k car in the UK.
The Insignia VXR might have been set free of its speed limited (the model it repalces would’ve probably also been capable of achieving the new top speed), but this is not its only tech asset. The 2.8-liter single-tubo (twin-scroll) V6 gives it a 0 to 62 mph sprint time of 5.6 seconds, but the vehicle also comes with a Brembo braking system, all-wheel drive and the FlexRide adaptive suspension.
Vauxhall tells us that the Insignia VXR Supersport learned its lessons from what it calls ‘britain’s first sports car”, the C10 ‘Prince Henry’, which was launched over one century ago, as well as by the 30-98 model that followed, which became the UK’s first production vehicle to achieve 100 mph (161 km/h). You can see the new Insignia VXR SuperSport and the 30-98 together on the Brooklands circuit in Weybridge in the gallery below.
