Yamaha unveiled the 2014 YZR-M1 machines in Jakarta, Indonesia, in the presence of the two factory riders, 2013 runner-up Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
While Lorenzo's goal for the upcoming season is rather obvious, trying to claw his crown back from Honda rookie extraordinaire Marc Marquez, Rossi's comeback to Team Blue was less spectacular than some hoped.

However, the 9-times world champion is far from being resigned. In Jakarta he declared to the media that his expectations for 2014 are high, but his main objective is to ride better than in 2013.

Rossi once more expressed his gratitude towards the team and technicians, who have developed his bike through the season and helped him regain control over the M1, and declared he was convinced the 2014 M1 will be just as competitive as the previous year bike was.

As a personal goal, the Doctor also made a bold statement, saying he will try to fight for a place on
the podium in each race.

For the sake of an even more thrilling season we wish Rossi becomes more able to keep up with the leading trio (Marquez, Lorenzo and Pedrosa), even though his former crew chief Jeremy Burgess believes the Italian rider's sun cannot be stopped from setting.
