US Ski Team Daily Webcasts from Audi

German carmaker Audi recently announced it will produce daily behind-the-scenes webcast, powered by Justin.tv from the U.S. Ski Team House in Canada for the 2010 Winter Games. The 15-minute webisodes titled “Live at the Lodge with TJ and Resi” will feature US Ski Team members TJ Lanning and Resi Stiegler, who are currently recovering from injury.

Lanning is currently recuperating from neck and leg injuries suffered during the World Cup downhill event in Lake Louise in November, the same month Stiegler injured her left knee when she crashed after hooking a gate during giant slalom training.

The daily webcasts will use social networking to create a dialogue with the fans, including via Twitter @audiski, Facebook posts, and YouTube.

As part of its support for the US Ski Team, Audi also recently commissioned the documentary film, Truth in Motion: The U.S. Ski Team’s Road to Vancouver, which is centered around how the American athletes prepared for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Directed by Brett Morgan, the film premiered on NBC in January, aired on the USA Network and the Universal Sports Network, and is now available for free download on the iTunes store.

“Truth in Motion exposed fans to the rigorous process of qualifying for the 2010 Winter Games, and these webisodes give viewers an even deeper insight as the competition begins,”
said Scott Keogh, Audi of America Chief Marketing Officer. “With an emphasis on performance and technology, Audi is a natural sponsor for the U.S. Ski Team, and we are excited and proud to be able to show fans the pinnacle of their athletic performance.”
