The Indian brand, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, a maker of rugged 4x4s, made announcements, back in 2004 that they would begin to bring their products to the US. So, in an effort to set up a dealer network, they made commitments to various dealers around the country, with plans to start the actual import of the cars in 2008-2009.
It’s already 2012 and there are still no cars in the US, with the Indian manufacturer accumulating a whopping €7.5 ($9.5) million in dealer fees, as they had already started promoting Mahindra’s SUVs and trucks which they were eagerly awaiting for sale.

The dealers are saying that they were ‘used’, as Mahindra deliberately delayed the vehicles arrival to the US in order to obtain ‘trade secrets’ and they reportedly have plans to completely ignore the original dealers, as they plan finding an alternate dealer network to do their business.

However, the angry dealer network isn’t going down without a fight, and they have enlisted the help of a Miami-based law firm, which will “aggressively seek justice” for their clients, according to a representative.
