TomTom Releases New Map Pack

The TomTom Netherlands-based GPS and auto satnav producer has released its latest map update package. The pack includes over 100 new or updated maps, covers three new countries and over 100,000 kilometers of new roads. TomTom users can now purchase maps for Morocco & Western Sahara, Chile and French Antilles for the first time. The map set detailing the latter includes Guadaloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthelemy and Saint Martin. The recently-developed maps are based on validated edits and anonymous GPS measurements that have been made by the TomTom drivers from all around the world. TomTom is the only developer in the automotive navigation industry to employ this user community map development system. The fresh map pack can be purchased online from the TomTom map shop.
