TX2K14 Nasty Supra With Huge Turbo Pulls Over 1,000 HP Dyno Run

As you may know, the stock 2JZ-GTE Toyota Supra engine can put out around 400 hp by just doing the basic performance upgrade (BPU), which requires you to basically free up the exhaust and let the turbos spin faster.

But changing the stock internals for high performance pistons, rods and crankshaft while adding bigger capacity injectors and a modified ECU will allow for more boost. And this of course means a bigger turbo.

Since it’s a bit too complicated to keep the bi-turbo setup, due to space and other parameters, most owners go for simply a ginormous turbocharger to replace the small factory ones.

Like you can see in the video down bellow, these mods above will turn a 20 year-old sportscar into a supercar killer. Simply because that six-cylinder engine can boast over 1,000 hp and put any hundred thousands dollar automotive jewels to shame.

This one for example appears to be preparing to compete in the TX2K14. Last night it went through some fine tuning dyno runs and managed to get past the 1,000 hp milestone each Supra owner dreams at. Crank up the volume, check it out and stay tuned. Maybe someone comes with a video where this beast will actually beat some of those GT-R computers on wheels.
