Those of you that recall the 2015 James Bond movie, Spectre, will remember a particular Land Rover Defender. It was one of the vehicles used by the rivals of the main character, and not one of the “hero cars.” For some, this brings an even stronger appeal.

Think of the movie Bullitt, but you want to drive the villain’s car (1968 Dodge Charger), not Steve McQueen’s Ford Mustang.

The SPECTRE Edition Land Rover Defender provides this particular option, and it is promised to be a fully functional, replica of the car seen in the film. Even if it was shown for a short time, Tweaked Automotive says it can build you a Defender 90 or 110 with a fully custom interior, and an exterior that could be confused for the movie car any day.

Each customized Defender will get the 16-inch Beadlock wheels, extra wide wheel arches, and every item shown in the film. The only thing that will be different will be a numbered interior plaque, as well as a unique SPECTRE EDITION exterior one. Both will be there to mark the belonging of this vehicle to a very special series of cars.

Tweaked Automotive considered this is the best moment to offer such a version of the Defender, as the model is no longer in production, and its owners are possibly interested in upgrades and features that were not available from the factory.

Evidently, they will require a “donor” vehicle to fulfill this conversion, so this is not a trick to acquire a brand new Land Rover Defender with a bit of tuning. Instead, it is the way one must follow to have an off-road capable Defender that looks just like one of the Villain cars in Spectre.

To be fair, there are a few differences on the exterior as well, like 35-inch tires instead of the 37-inch ones used in the movie. The change is motived by the fact that the latter is more suited to the Defender 110 with a two-inch lift, while the same treatment does not suit the Defender 90. The entire suspension has been upgraded, so it is not just for show.

The engine’s power was boosted to about 190 HP, while peak torque was increased to approximately 490 Nm (361 lb-ft). The upgrades made to the interior include a multimedia unit with navigation, front and rear cameras, a smaller steering wheel, and a full leather upholstery.
