Tuning Overkill: Impul Gives Nissan Juke a Mugen Look
The Nissan Juke isn’t really a pretty car, featuring manga comic looks that provide an eclectic mix of circles slashes and bulges. In case a crossover that’s the size of a MINI Cooper and looks like it’s smiling wasn’t enough to get everyone’s attention, Impul has added a few ‘look at ME!’ elements that make the Juke resemble a Honda Civic Type R Mugen.
The cosmetic makeover begins with a full aero kit comprising of a new front spoiler, side skirts or optionally side steps, a rear diffuser and that gigantic rear wing. It doesn’t stop there, as the aesthetic changes also include a redesigned front grille, profile decals with the tuning company’s name and exterior mirror covers.
The Juke sits pretty on a set of new 19-inch alloy wheels available in different shades and wrapped around 245/40 19 tires. Impul has added a sport suspension that lowers the diminutive crossover’s ride height to the mix, as well as high-performance brakes and a custom sports exhaust system.
Why would they make changes like these if the Juke’s top speed remains unchanged? Well, the Japanese tuner as also developed a software update for both the naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions of the Juke’s 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, but the company has yet released final output numbers.
