Tuned G55 AMG for Abu Dhabi Royalty
- The one-off version is called AS55K YAAS Edition
- The car was tuned by ART
- The 5.4L V8 engine now develops 620HP
That of course, if you are not preoccupied with the global petrol prices. If you didn’t realize it by now, we are talking about the Middle-Eastern royalty.
Abu Dhabi to be more exact, who recently commissioned a one-off Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG, specially tuned by ART, Auto Trader informs us.
The vehicle has one powerful ‘dromedary’ under the bonnet. ART did a great job with the AS55K YAAS Edition, as the vehicle is called, having its standard 5.4-litre V8 engine tuned from 354 HP to no less than 620 HP.
Add that to the 380mm eight piston perforated brake discs at the front and 345mm discs at the rear, and the ‘dromedary’ becomes a ‘camel’.
The interior surfaces including the steering wheel also have carbon fiber detailing, just as the royal family requested.
Quite unexpected if you ask us, as gold-plated would have been the first thing to cross our minds instead of carbon-fiber... But in the end, gold is not quite the perfect choice for a car destined to be used on the rough Arab terrain.
