Truck Driver Falls Asleep at the Wheel

Driver fatigue is easily one of the leading causes of accidents that happen outside of towns where one has traffic lights and all sorts of distractions to keep one from falling asleep. However, once outside of town, the roads straighten out and there is less and less traffic, so there’s less to do, and if a driver is tired, the transition from driving a car to falling asleep is virtually instant.
The driver of this truck has clearly fallen asleep at the wheel and is subtly veering left into oncoming traffic. Another truck driver sees the out of control rig and slows down and prepares an evasive maneuver which thankfully is successful and the collision is narrowly missed.

This just goes to show that recent developments in car (and truck) safety, such as lane departure warning systems, adaptive cruise control and all of that stuff genuinely makes sense and they may in fact save your life!
