Triumph Trophy Bikes in the Thankful Villages Charity Run
The Thankful Village Run will reach all 51 villages with no war memorial in a 2500 mile-trip (km) which will span across 9 days. Why no war memorial, some might ask. Well, these 51 villages sent their men to battle during the World War I, and all those who left made it back home alive, even thought some had been scarred physically or mentally. Even more, the story repeated during the second World War with 14 of these villages.
Triumph also liveried the two Trophy bikes in a special graphics kit to mark this charity ride, and more riders are also expect to join the two. During WW1, Triumph supplied more than 30,000 bikes to the allied forces.
Those who want to ride with Dougie and Medwyn can pick as much or little of the whole route, at a donation of £5 ($7.6 or €5.9) per bike per day. Donations can also be made by texting “THVR51 £5” to 70070 (with UK prefix) via the Thankful Villages Ride site or in cash on the route.
