Triumph Announces UK Pricing for Trophy 1200

Triumph recently unveiled the new Trophy 1200, a bike which aims to take the fight to BMW, in a market sector dominated by the German brand. It features a 1,251 cc three-pot motor which pumps out an impressive 132 hp, which is transmitted to the road via a six-speed gearbox. Also, with servicing intervals of 16,000 km (10,000 miles), it sounds like a very practical alternative, as well.

The manufacturer claims that it features excellent agility, which has been achieved by extensive work on the chassis, and also because the bike has ‘loose’ panniers which are free to move a few inches, so that wind turbulence is reduced and overall stability is increased.

Now, during a press conference in scotland, the British manufacturer has just announced the official pricing for the Trophy 1200. The ‘basic’ version kicks off at £12,949, and the price rises to £14,299 for the SE version which features MP3-compatible sound system, electronically-adjustable suspension, as well as tire pressure sensors.
