Visual changes include 16-inch front and 15-inch rear cast allow wheels, a redesigned front mudguard, pulled back handlebars and feet forward controls.

“ For 2011 the rider has also been placed even closer to the controls, creating greater harmony between rider and machine and making the 2011 Triumph America even easier to ride,” a company statement reads.

Low means a 690mm (27-inch)seat height and a 250 kg (551 lbs) wet weight, fully fuelled and ready to ride. “Triumph’s engineers have deliberately designed the 2011 America to appeal to a wide range of riders. In addition to the low seat and light weight, neat touches such as the easily accessible sidestand and friendly ergonomics mean that it’s no wonder the America appeals to a wide variety of riders looking for a cool looking yet fun and easy to ride motorcycle,” the manufacturer says.

The 2011 Triumph America also benefits from a Metallic Phantom Black or two-tone Eclipse Blue with Crystal White paint scheme.
