Toyota performance parts arm TRD will be showing an offroad themed FJ Cruiser at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The car takes inspiration from the Baja Series and offers a “exoskeleton” underbody to protect it when the going really gets tough.
This makes the FJ more rigid and strong, so TRD has added better suspension in the form of 60-mm Bilstein racing shocks up front and 50-mm at the back. The package is completed by 17-inch beadlock wheels with BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires.

Under the hood, we have a supercharger and a larger intercooler mounted to the 4.0-liter V6, so power is lifted to 345 hp and 340 lb-ft.

autoevolution will be attending the 2012 SEMA, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
