What a glorious year 2014 has been for the American muscle car. Although there are a few months left to go 'til 2015 comes into scene, we've been blessed with the 2015 Ford Mustang, the refreshed Challenger, Charger and the Hellcat siblings, both packing a monstrous 707-pony supercharged V8 motor.
As if the previously mentioned weren't enough reason to feel proud about the American auto industry (minus the recalls), SRT Motorsports has just unveiled a menacing Sublime Green Trans Am racer that looks like a mashup between the Incredible Hulk and the Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Two Trans Am Dodge Challenger SRTs will be running for the Miller Racing team at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on August 15th and 16th. Four-time series champion Tommy Kendall makes his re-entrance and first Trans Am start since 2004 in the TA2 series class this weekend. He'll drive the No. 11 car, while his teammate Cameron Lawrence will get the No. 1 Challenger. This move also marks the Dodge brand's debut into Trans Am's competitive TA2 class.

As for the mid-season manufacturer switch by Miller Racing, SRT Motorsports' new racer is expected to give the team a better support base. In addition to the Trans Am partnership, SRT Motorsports also fields two Dodge Viper SRT GTS-Rs in the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. Round seven of the 2014 Trans Am Championship will take place alongside the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
