The Yaris R1A comes with a list of tech mods that includes a custom racing exhaust, with a special catalytic converter, an adjustable suspension, as well as a shorter final drive. The vehicle also offers the usual racing safety features, such as a rollcage, bucket seats and underbody protection.
Once it gets the FIA R1A homologation, drivers will be able to use it in regional, national and international competitions, which include, among others, WRC events.
The order books for the Yaris R1A are already open and the vehicle will set you back GBP17,700 (EUR22,500 at the current exchange rate), but the pricing doesn’t include the donor car, tax and installation.
