Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid to Be Ordered Online
text size: A- A+
Starting April 22, the day that has been designated to become Earth Day, Toyota will be accepting reservations for the model. Called Priority Registration, the process will give wannabe customers the chance to be first in line when the first PHEV versions of the Prius will be launched later this year (registrations can be made by accessing this link)..
As soon as the cars get a green light for sale, Toyota will also make available a configurator for the model, which will also allow users to select a Toyota dealer from where to pick up their vehicle. In the first phase, the Prius PHEV will be launched in 15 states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii (online ordering not available here), Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.
“The Prius Plug-in Online Ordering system was inspired by the success and positive customer feedback we had to similar online ordering systems for the first two generations of Prius,” said Bob Carter, Toyota Division group vice president and general manager.
“We feel the Prius Plug-in target customer will expect a purchase experience that is as advanced and convenient as the product itself. The Online Ordering System is designed to meet those expectations.”
