The mid-engined Toyota MR2 is a great all-round little sports car which is appreciated both in its ‘natural’ form, as well as the perfect base for many mid-engined supercar replicas. It has been used to underpin anything from a Ferrari Enzo to a Gumpert Apollo.
This, however, is the first Lamborghini Murcielago replica that we know of that is based on an MR2, and it comes from a surprising place - Bulgaria. The car in question was originally a second-generation MR-2, from 1992, a car powered by a two-liter petrol engine with 163 hp.
There are no real technical details, but this decent-looking replica is for sale on eBay for €25,000 ($31,500 / £19,900). If the car is to scale and not disproportionate, then perhaps it does deserve at least part of what the owner is asking for it, but we’re not convinced as not enough details were given in the eBay ad.
