Everybody from Brussels to Bangkok knows what a London cab looks like. It's a sexy retro shape. After Nissan NV200 started gaining traction in London and New York, we really thought all taxis will become boring and practical, but the Toyota liked the old shape so much, they decided to do their own.
A concept called JPN Taxi is coming to this year's Tokyo Motor Show, and it looks like a combo between the London cab and the car of the future. The concept is straight out of a manga comicbook and you can almost see a guy getting out of it as he arrives at his job woking at the giant robot factory.

A grille made up of little squares, LED headlights with a translucent feel and side view mirrors placed right next to them are just some of our favorite features.

Sadly, the vehicle doesn't run on alien technology, instead making use of economical liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) hybrid system. It has room for 5 people in total and is the size of a VW Golf, only a bit taller at 1,7 meters.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
