Toyota’s UK division is celebrating 10 years of the Prius model, with the company offering itself a present, in the form of the Prius X special edition. The bespoke series comes with sporty accents, but offers the same level of fuel efficiency as the standard Prius.

The Prius X comes with a factory tuning kit that includes redesigned front and rear bumpers, as well as new side skirts. The package also includes a set of 17-inch lightweight alloy rims that use a smoked finish, as well as tinted windows. The vehicle also comes with an interior that has received a black leather finish with embossed 10th anniversary logos.

The sporty elements installed on the anniversary edition of the Prius haven’t affected the fuel economy of the vehicle. This means that it offers the same 70.6 UK mpg (58.8 US mpg or 3.3 liters per 100 km) and emits 92 grams of CO2 per km.

The Prius 10th Anniversary offers the same equipment as the range-topping T Spirit model, coming with HDD satellite navigation (with integrated sound library), rear parking monitor, Bluetooth, Intelligent Park Assist, cruise control, smart entry and start, rain-sensing wipers and head-up display.

Toyota will only build 1,000 units of the Prius X, with customers being able to choose between White Pearl or Astral Black as exterior colors. The vehicle has a price of GBP26,150 (EUR29,298 or $41,108 at the current exchange rates) on-the-road .

Toyota has opened the order books for the Prius 10th Anniversary and its first customers will receive their vehicle by the end of the current year.
