Toyota Has the Best Seats in the World, Says J.D Power

Toyota is known for making sturdy, relatively cheap cars that get to last for decades in any conditions with the proper care. Which also means these cars will see a lot of miles during their lifetime. And how will you feel those miles? Through the seats of course.

Luckily, Toyota made sure most of its cars’ seats will take good care of your bum and back, and there’s even a new study from J.D. Power to enforce that. This year’s study seems to favor big vehicles, as the Toyota 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia are included in the list of the best six Toyotas with superior seating.

The Lexus RX is there too and even the compact Scion iQ, which unfortunately will exit production this year due to short demand. J.D. Power made the list by asking new car owners to rate the quality of their seats and seatbelts during the first 90 days of ownership. Over 86,000 people that bough 2014 model year cars and light trucks were surveyed.

Toyota won the survey, with six out of twenty one cars being recognized for superior seating. The list also contains the Range Rover Evoque, Porsche Cayenne, Ford F-250, Ford C-Max and the Porsche Panamera.

Another thing the study revealed is the fact that buyers who prefer SUVs want a three-row seat configuration without sacrificing quality or luggage space. Hmm, go figure...
