After many sleepless nights he had to wait before picking it up, Richard Hammond, one of Top Gear's hosts, crashed his Morgan AeroMax into the back of a Nissan in Gloucestershire, UK. Fortunately, according to a BBC spokesman, he walked away uninjured.

According to some sources, Richard was driving home from a from a flying lesson nearby when the accident happened. While approaching a roundabout, he got involved in a four-car pile-up.

"Someone braked sharply in front of him and then a number of cars went into the back of each other. Richard was at the back of the line and he received no damage to his rear end, but the front was in a pretty bad way,”
said an eyewitness for the Daily Mail.

"Everyone got out and exchanged details and there was some good-humoured banter exchanged by the drivers after they realised it was him,"
he added.

The Morgan AeroMax is capable of reaching speeds of up to 170mph (274km/h). Fitted with a 4.8-liter BMW V8 engine, the £110,000 ($181,126) supercar is hand-built in a style similar to that of the 1930s luxury cars. Some have even compared it to the Batmobile in the recent Batman films.

This is the second serious crash in which Hammond was involved over the past three years. Last time, he survived after getting involved in a dragster racing car crash while filming for the popular TV show.

He then suffered brain injuries, which are still affecting him, as Richard continues to accuse depression, memory loss and has problems with spatial awareness. Hammond even admitted that he has been having difficulties when parking a car since the incident.
