Well, well, well, what do we have here? Why, it’s the Top Gear trio having fun while filming new material for the Clarkson, Hammond & May Live tour. The Mirror’s Jeff Moore spotted the boys in London and managed to snap the gang in fourteen photographs.
As you can see in the Mirror’s gallery, the former Top Gear presenters seem to reenact a special part of Series 17 Episode 5. As expected, we’re referring to “The Interceptors” title sequence.
One can only wonder why Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond filmed the trailer for their own ‘70s detective show a second time, but I have a gut feeling regarding this arrangement. As they’re no longer an asset of the BBC, the team needs its own material for their upcoming live tour.
Of course, the filming location features guns, girls, karate chops, fake moustaches and a modernized Jensen Interceptor. What baffles me most is that each of the photographs sourced by the Mirror’s Jeff Moore depicts the boys in very high spirits, laughing and enjoying themselves as much as possible.
This bit of Top Gear news comes a few days after we reported that Jeremy Clarkson, former Stig Ben Collins, a film crew and a C7 Corvette Z06 were assembled at the Thruxton Motorsport Centre. The group was spotted in Hampshire two weeks ago as well. Rowland French, creative director of the tour, declared to the Mirror: "The three presenters have been working incredibly hard to make sure it's better than ever before, and I'm certainly looking forward to seeing them back doing what they do best."
In Top Gear-related news, the same publication is informing that Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond “attended a secret rendezvous at the home of ITV channel director Peter Fincham this week.” Former Top Gear executive producer Andy Wilman and ITV entertainment boss Elaine Bedell were also present. So, what’s next after the 2015 Clarkson, Hammond and May Live tour?
