Tokyo Motor Show Reborn
"The reborn 42nd Tokyo Motor Show will be a comprehensive one that includes passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, vehicle bodies, parts, machinery and tools," the organizers say.
First of all, the location for the event will change. From 2011 onwards, it will be hosted at the Tokyo Big Sight at Ariake, Koto-ku, in Tokyo. For the last 14 editions, the motor show has been hosted at Makuhari Messe in Chiba city.
The doors of the show will open on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, with a two day press preview. The date is several weeks prior to the current date.
On Saturday, December 3, 2011, the event will be open to the general public. Unlike until now, the auto show will only stay opened for 10 days, instead of 13.
"With the participation of major brands from Japan and abroad, this international motor show will serve as a hub to send out information about the latest next-generation safety and environment technologies from the automobile industry," added JAMA.
"At the same time, it will offer visitors the opportunity to rediscover the appeal, joy, and fun of cars and motorcycles by viewing, touching, and riding the actual latest models."
