The autoevolution team isn't big on luxury hotels. We're just as happy in a tent at Maranello as we are sipping martinis in Monaco. But when we do go to a really expensive hotel, we'd like it to be a little bit like Conrad Tokyo.
They're celebrating 50 years this year, just like an Italian company we're thinking of right now, and to celebrate they've launched the "The Ultimate 50 – 50th Anniversary of hospitality in Japan" package.

You get to stay in the Royal Suite, a cool sushi dinner, a helicopter pick up from the airport, 50 years vintage Whiskey / Port with tasting, a luxury Swiss watch by Blancpain and… a Lamborghini Gallardo.

From what we've learned, this hotel has always had supercars on standby, but this is special. It's the brand new 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, a car we fell in love with when we tested it recently. The 560 horsepower automobile is not a rental car, you just... drive it away.

How much? Probably not cheap, and since we're too afraid to ask, why don't you guys make a booking for the room yourselves. We hear it's about $500,000 for two people, so you might just want to check your bank balance first.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
