Thinking of Christmas? No? Neither are we. A racetrack, however, is something we would like to dream about any day of the year and this slot car raceway does just that  – get us dreaming. American luxury specialty department store Neiman Marcus has recently unveiled their ultra-expensive scale model race track that costs the same money you’d need to get a new Lamborghini Aventador. But is it worth it?
Are you fond of the famous Nurburgring F1 track? Or maybe you’re more into Silverstone or the famous Le Mans. Whatever the case might be, folks selling the exclusive raceway claim they can build your favorite 1:32 scale model. Iconic structures, pit crews, period slot cars, and more help you the get into the action while integrated track cameras capture and display it on mini screens.

In specs, we’re looking at a 30’ x 12’ (9 x 3.5 meters) track with scenic elements such as handcrafted iconic structures, facades, period slot cars, spectators and streetlights. It might take six months for the company to build it, but the raceway even has mini cameras and mini screens so you can tape every centimeter traveled.

And in case you’re feeling bad about spending $300,000 (EUR 235,000) on a toy, don’t you worry, as Neiman Marcus promises that with every purchase of The Slot Mods Raceway the company will donate $3,500 to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation. The charity is dedicated to supporting youth arts education in communities across the country.

Now that you know everything about the raceway and before you check out the video below, we’re pretty sure there is only one thing left for you to decide: buy another new supercar or a luxury slot car raceway?
