This Cadillac CTS-V Features a Massive Turbo, 1100+ HP

We’ve seen the guys at 1320video encounter plenty of awesome cars over the years, so anytime they start dropping superlatives, we know we’re in for a treat. This time around, they caught up with a murdered-out Cadillac CTS-V participating at the Pikes Peak Air Strip Attack, which they said was the nuttiest car they encountered.

From the very first glance, this definitely isn’t your typical CTS-V. Forget about the wing and the parachute; check out the massive turbo peering out from behind the car’s mesh grille. 1320video caught up with the driver to get the details on this car, and it definitely has the specs to back up the mean looks. Tucked in behind that monstrous 101-mm turbocharger (delivering 20 pounds of boost), the heart of this beast is a 408 cubic inch iron block V-8. According to the owner, this setup helps the Caddy dyno out at 1,170 hp and allows the 4,400-pound sedan to fly down the track hitting speeds of 177 mph.

The Air Strip Attack took place back in June in conjunction with the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, but while some racers are tackling the 12.42-mile, 156 mph hill climb, others are at the Colorado Springs Airport experiencing a different kind of high-speed rush. This half-mile, side-by-side race draws some insane rides each year, and even though this Cadillac wasn’t the fastest car on hand, 1320video hit the nail on the head by calling it the nuttiest of the bunch.

Watching the video, this Cadillac’s massive turbo definitely takes some time to kick in, but once it does, you can almost feel the g-forces as the car rockets down the runway. This car looks cool and sounds even better as it goes all out in the half-mile runs. Take a look for yourself in the video, but beware there is some language that might be NSFW.
