The fact that Valentino Rossi is hosting racing events at his own Motor Ranch in Tavullia, miles away from the MotoGP circuit of Misano is old news, but yesterday was a truly big day for a lot of big names in the racing world as a truly stellar grid assembled on the Italian countryside dirt track.
While other similar events in the past only used to host several riders, the latest gathering in Tavullia brought together an almost unbelievable roster. Leon Camier, Federico Fuligni, Mattia Pasini, Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi, Chad Reed, Nicolo Bulega, Tito Rabat, Francesco Bagnaia, Bradley Smith and Miguel Oliveira. Those squatting are, from left to right, Loris Capirossi, Luca Marini, Franco Morbidelli, Alberto Tebaldi, Mauro Sanchini, Lorenzo and Andrea Baldassari Migno. And to make things even better, add Gino Rea and Chaz Davies to the list.

The meeting was an almost historic one, as it was the first time Marc Marquez was able to respond properly to Vale’s repeated and incessant invitations. Under a rather strict contract with Repsol Honda, Marquez arrived in Tavullia accompanied by several of his team’s mechanics and rode his own Honda CRF450, in a special trim, equipped and customized especially for him.

There is no info on who was the best rider around the Tavullia Motor Ranch dirt track, but judging by the looks on the guys’ faces, this detail ranks quite low on the fun list.
