Finding a supermoto bike and being able to say it's "truly, deeply, madly sexy" is a rather rare thing, but seeing Taffy Racing's Honda CR500AF was truly rewarding.
The "Black Diamond" is a stunning build which emanates the sheer asphalt aggression supermoto bikes are capable of, but at the same time showing some amazing shapes and carefully-trimmed carbon parts and a plethora of other aftermarket upgrades any other custom machine would proudly show off.
South Wales-based Jeff of Taffy Racing changed quite a lot in this Honda, even though the untrained eye could fail to spot the new parts, while others are simply out of sight. The engine received a full upgrade with race-sped parts, from the lesser-importance ones, such as the covers up to pistons, carbs or crank.
The swingarm comes form an Aprilia, whit Marzocchi triple clamps and forks, and aftermarket bearings. Dual Akrapovic exhaust were mated to the new expansion chamber, while the controls and brakes came from Beringer. Racing carbon bars also installed.
We're positive the Taffy Racing Black Diamond will cause some wet dreams for the supermoto enthusiasts, but there's more: the long-version build story from Supermoto-Central!
