The Rolls Royce 200EX Will Debut at 2009 Geneva Show
A teaser image has leaked, on purpose or not, today on the Internet. If you expect a somewhat detailed look of the car, you are in for a surprise. The photo is only an innuendo to how the car will look as seen front its front.
The 200EX brings a new approach to the way the manufacturer designs its cars. The front multi-spoke polished grille is inserted in between the large headlights, that seem to be fitted with LEDs. The other thing the teaser image allows viewers to see is that the body of the car is coated with two tone silver-gray paint.
Rumor goes that the body of the car will be made in thin gauge steel, unlike the aluminum frame used in the old Phantom. The resemblance between the two models can be seen in the way the back doors open rearward and close at the push of a button.
As for the mechanics, we reported at the beginning of the month that the 200EX will be powered by either a V8 or a V12 turbocharged petrol engine, depending on the version. It is said that the V12 will be a brand new 500 horsepower unit.
The Rolls Royce 200EX will make its first appearance at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. It is expected that the newcomer will double both Rolls Royce's market exposure and production output.
