Some riders really aren’t keen to just strap a standard egg-shaped lid to their head and go roam around. Frankly, more and more helmet manufacturers are thinking out of the box and come up with really interesting looking helmets. And one of them is the new Covert from Scorpion.
Yeah, we know some of you guys like to stand out in a crowd while riding and thankfully, the new Scorpion Covert (or EXO-COMBAT) seem to be inspired by jet fighters and Mortal Combat. And thanks to its neat construction, you have three helmets into one.

According to Scorpion, the engineers and designers started with a half-helmet to which they added an integrated drop-down sun visor. Then they conceived a sleeve that attaches to the base and turns it into a three-quarter lid.

Ultimately, they made another part to complete the design - a chin bar to offer a full-helmet experience for those wanting more protection. Even so, the lid still looks aggressive and very apart from what you can usually find on the market.

Moving to the technical bits, the outer shell is made out of advanced LG polycarbonate, a material developed exclusively by Scorpion to keep the weight down and maximize impact protection.

Under the shell, you find a layer of dual-density EPS with an aero-tuned ventilation system, KwikWik II anti-microbial comfort liner and the EverClear SpeedView drop-down sun visor, which is coated on both sides with the special concoction for a fog-free ride.

The Covert is also fitted with a double D-ring chins strap system, is DOT approved and comes with a 5-year warranty. Sizes vary from XS to 3XL, and there are two color choices available - solid matte black, which retails for $210, and Ratnik graphic in Phantom which goes for $230.
