Suzuki has finally started to revive its car lineup and after the S-Cross, the automaker will introduce us to the all-new Vitara, which is now seen for the first time at the Paris Motor Show 2014, following to enter production next year at the Magyar Suzuki plant.
Suzuki’s SUV styling heritage can be seen on the new Vitara being materialized through a sturdy clamshell hood, a trapezoidal motif front bumper, kicked-up body-side character line and hood-side air outlets inspired by the first generation model.
Stepping inside, you’ll find a boldly shaped instrument panel garnish, a U-shaped design around the shift lever, a round clock fitted in between the center vents, the same steering wheel from the S-Cross, panoramic roof and some sturdy seats.
Owners will be able to customize their purchase with new exterior colors, such as Atlantis Turquoise Pearl Metallic, Horizon Orange Metallic and Savannah Ivory Metallic,as well as different colors for the front grille, fender garnishes, instrument panel ornaments, louvre rings and the central clock.
Two packs are available; the urban one bringing chrome parts, body-side moldings and a roof spoiler as well as the rugged pack which emphasizes roughness via front and rear skid plates, fog lamp bezels, body-side moldings and a loading edge protection.
Engine wise, the new Suzuki Vitara will inherit the same powertrains as the new SX4 S-Cross comes with - a 1.6-liter gasoline engine making 120 PS/156 Nm (115 lb-ft) and a 1.6-liter diesel unit giving the same hp but 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.
